KWFC meet up in September?
I have a plan for us in September !! I'll most probably be flying down to Adelaide somewhere in late September. After hanging around Adelaide for maybe 3-4 days, i'm planning to rent a car and drive all four of you boys to Melbourne maybe for the weekend. In the time we're in Melbourne, we can probably go to 7s ( i know ah mai and sam will love to go) or we can plan a maybe 3 day 2 night trip just outside of Melbourne. Mornington again maybe ? I'm open to suggestions but for now that's the plan. So all i'm asking is to leave one weekend free so that all the Ke Weis who are overseas can meet up and spend time together, which includes you Kev. =D
So KWFC roadtrip/ partying/ chill out time together in Sept ? On? Let me know. Until then, stay healthy and stop freaking buying scooters !!!

Okay.. for those who didn't know. I lost my faithful steed on Saturday.
I woke up nice and early on Saturday morning. Ate a good breakfast, took an even better dump, put on my uniwhite gear, imagined myself scoring a goal, did my celebration dance, took my helmet and went outside only to find my scooter......... gone.
Was pretty devastated. I was not sure if I could and should ring 000 cos I didn't want the police to go all s.w.a.t. team on me for a scooter, although that would have been great, so I went off.
I was gonna make a police report but I decided to go to for the Unley game 1st. (Im sure most of yall would have done the same) So I took the damn bus which was overcrowded and realised that I only had a 50. The bus driver gave me a long stare before telling me he didn't have change and gave me 24 two dollar coins. I was pretty bummed at that time and thought I could take my coins a try my luck at pokies and WIN ANOTHER SCOOTER!
Snapped back to reality and went to the changing room and told the guys about what happened. Wez was like, "..yeah, I heard the Unley guys talking and overheard that one of them stole a scooter last night. You gotta get your revenge on the field!"
And I was like.. Unley Bastards!
So I geared up and got ready to take on the guys who stole my scooter. Unfortunately, Unley got away with my scooter and the game.
Nathan took me to the Hindley police station before making sure Dan Greatz hobbled off all right to his parents car. (He took a knock in the A's)
After Nathan dropped me off, I walked around the neighbourhood to check if any of my neighbours conveniently got a new scooter. I was praying really hard and had a sudden prompting to walk down Harvey St, a street couple of blocks away from my place.
And when I got there, waddaya know.... IT'S MY SCOOTER! I tried starting it but it wouldn't until I realised the front was pried open and wires were everywhere. I tried wiring it back but it was too dark to see anything. It was about 7 at that time. So I came to a conclusion that the guy ran away with my scooter, pried open the front, tried to hot wire it but couldn't see anything and realised he had damage the scooter already and couldn't sell it.
Stupid Unley Bastard!
The police came over and was all CSI like, dusting for finger prints and stuff. Before the cop the left, he pulled a John Connor face and gave me the "we'll call you" pat on the back before leaving the crime scene.
So yeah, my scooter can't start, the front is all ripped, I have to pay for repairs and I have to take public transport.
Man I hate Unley!

My Uni Assignment!
How's it goin? Sorry for the lack of updates. My house still does not have internet. Some cable problem. Getting really annoying. Bloggin live from Ah Mai's couch. It's a good couch. Probabbly filled with shit particles from his fart, but I'll live.
It's getting colder here but I've started to gain an immunity as I'm used to riding my scooter in the chilly, spiky air. Eating alot lately as the temperature decreases. Soon I'll take Xiang's place as the obstacle in front of the goalmouth and WEEEYYY kao all of you.
Anyway, this is a video my group made for an assignment. Its for Experimental Production class. Where we experiment with video styles and different avant-garde concepts of film. Pretty wierd films we see in class. Like a guy sleeping, or a video just about a building and nothing else. Yeah stuff like that.
But well, this video holds a metaphor about our souls needing to escape the desires and needs of the body to a place of silence and peacefulness.
So yeah, hope ya like it and leave a msg!
Cheers!

S. Australia to waive tuition fees
More than 25,000 children of foreigners will benefit from new policy
KUCHING: Deputy Premier of South Australia Kevin Foley announced last Friday that education tuition fees involving the children of foreigners staying in South Australia will be waived.
“More than 25,000 will benefit from this policy,” Foley said through a press statement issued in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
According to him, South Australia was home to over 25,000 foreign students last year, a figure seen as a reflection of its growing popularity as a great place for education investment.
The statement said Adelaide offers world-class education at all schooling levels and it is home to six universities, namely the University of Adelaide, University of South Australia, Flinders University, Carnegie Mellon (US), Cranfield (UK) and Ballarat (Victoria).
It said waiving education tuition fees would make for better investment climate.
“South Australia is a great place for investment. As we all are aware, the economic meltdown is slowing things down. But in every adversity comes an opportunity,” Foley was quoted as saying at a dinner reception hosted by the South Australian government in Kuala Lumpur last Friday.
The April 17 dinner was graced by Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Alfred Jabu.
Foley also called upon Malaysian business community to get in touch with South Australia for more business opportunities, saying the state “is riding the crest of an economic wave”.
“About AS$45 billion worth of major projects, either underway or proposed, are creating development, investment and employment opportunities,” he said.
He said South Australia’s capital, Adelaide, is rated as the continent’s most cost-competitive city for business by KPMG Competitive Alternatives Report 2008.
More significantly, he said, South Australia has the demands of commerce and industry and people living a great lifestyle or a high standard of living.
Adelaide is rated the world’s third-best destination for business travel and the best in Australia, and one of the world’s top seven most liveable cities, he said.
“South Australia is synonymous with its rugged outback, unspoilt coastline and the beautiful city of Adelaide. Put tourism aside, South Australia blends more things than thought,” he said.
“From seafood to wine, cricket, mining, manufacturing and education, South Australia has earned its good reputation as one of the choicest destinations for both the business community and tourists,
“And for wine lovers, South Australia is the centre of the Australian wine industry, producing half of the nation’s wine and 57 per cent of national wine exports,” he said.

Adelaide Update!
How're yall doin laa...?
Been a while since I updated yall bout my current status.
Finally found a place to stay. It's in North Adelaide, not too far from the city. Nice peaceful suburb which is close to shops and all. And when I say peaceful, I mean.. soo peaceful that even the dead can rest.
Lol. Ok.. Whut im getting at is actually a graveyard that's right behind my house. Like literally RIGHT BEHIND!
Im in the kitchen now, behind my kitchen is the tv room, behind my tv room is the back yard, and behind my back yard is Phil Carson's tomb. Bless his soul.
Yeah, but it's actually really peaceful la. Not like the cemeteries back home where there's chanting and monks walking around. No offence to any walking chanting monks but it's just not the best thing to see at night la k..
I was the first to move in, so i was in the house alone for the first 4 nights. Was cool having the house to myself, could blast the music up, be as messy as i want, walk around naked, yeah stuff like that.
Was a weeedle bit creepy when it came to the night.
Last friday was friday the 13th, I Looked out and there was a full moon. I was estatic! I put on my dancin shoes and waited for Michael Jackson and his troop of zombies to do the thriller with me. But yeah, they didn't show up..
Anywayz, the other housemates moved in already. Currently staying with 2 Australians and a Sarveen.
So, one day I was waiting for the bus in the city and it was taking forever, it was like a good 45mins till I noticed that the girl beside me has been sitting there since I got there.
So we started talking casually, complaining about the bus and stuff. After awhile I asked her, "where ya heading?" She replied "Oh, um.. North Adelaide", you? And I was like, cool, North Adelaide, Medindie Gardens. She smiled and said "Oh, great, im moving there this weekend."
I asked, "Which Road?"
She was like "Chalbury Road.."
I jumped and was like "I live on that street! Whut house are ya at?"
"44..?"
"I was like... Helloee Housie!!"
Such a coincidence..
That's the story of how I met Heather, my housemate from Sydney.
The other fella's an 18 year old footy player. As in AFL, Australian Rules Football. He's Jonathan. We call him Jono.
Good bloke. He plays for like a Div 1 footy team. He plays golf, surfs, plays tennis, he's into dirt bikes, he's gonna design and build surf boards and sell them soon in the backyard.
We're a happy household. Except that the Sarveen's a lil dirty. Messes the kitchen, doesnt wash his stuff, and peees all over the place!!
So yeah, my other housemates call him MIFS. Mister-Indian-Freak-Show!
Lol. But yeah, He's a nice guy... Just a lil dirty.
So like we were watchin Zoolander and so happen, Zoolander is assigned to kill the Malaysian prime minister. And Jono just bursts out laughing and mimes zoolander.. And since then he goes on and on about "KIlling the Malaysian prime minister.." So im like.... Shut up you convict!
So yeah.. I call him convict and he calls me refugee.
One day I came back from class and they were packing stuff. So I asked "where yall heading?"
Jono : Oh im goin surfing with Heather and some other mates
Heather: Wanne come?
Jono: Er.. I don't think there's space in the car for Justin, but we'd go some other time with him for sure.
Heather: Why don't ya just sit in the booth since you refugees are used to small confined places and stuff!
Racist Australians.
Lol.
Nahh it's all good, we just like racist jokes.
Oh yeah.
I got tired of waiting the for the bus and stuff..
So i'd like yall to meeet....
Peggy!
Yeah, she my new ride. She's secondhand. Got her for $800. Been surfing online and monitoring the classifieds for 3 weeks. She comes with a one year warranty, tools, helemet, manual, gloves and oil!
Bought her from a Korean dood who was rushing to go to Sydney. So he gave me a good price.
She's only 50cc and South Australia law allows me to ride using my driver's license.
She's awesome and I love her!
...Oh and pls dont tell my mum.
Cheers!
Oh yeah, Mai, a few friends and I went for the soundwave festival. Awesome line up of bands. Couldn't resist.
He're some pics.
This is Alice, a girl I met on the bus. We lost her in the mosh. Poor girl, hope she's alive.
.. is so awesome live!
Yeah, we caught underoath, one of Ernest's fav bands. Still dont get their music. Moshing was heaps fun tho.
Forever The Sickest Kids - Great punk band which im starting to like. Good Performers.
Jack's Mannequin did a great show too. But was only for like, 40mins.
Yeah. We caught Lamb of God. They were quite scary at night. Lol.
Football's been great. Ah Mai and I joined a team, Uniwhites. They're a social league team from Adelaide Uni.
Good mix of young and old doods. Ya have young vibrant and aggresive players as wells as experianced players from the The Super League(One division below the A league) and various divisions in the team. They find a right balance between serious football and good fun, so at the moment, im pretty happy with the team. Training is on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Saturday is matchday. We're still going through preseason as the league has not started yet. Been playing friendlies and stuff
Been training with them for about 4 weeks now and i've so far found myself in the A team for the past 3 (it's tHree not tree.) friendly matches. So it's all good. Mai's in the B's at the moment but shud be able to get into the A's once he's settled with his assignments and stuff. No sweat.
Would still prefer to get a few B team games under my belt just to boost confidence and get into form. Still abit blur due to not touching a football since my regular calls to Ganesren every friday night.
So far the coach has put me on the right wing and up front. Still not used to the weather and the more physical style of play here. Get banged and pushed around alot. It's also pretty common to the find your lips crackin and yr throat extremely dry on the pitch.
But yeah, here's to a good season with the Whites! Check them out at uniwhites.com
Thats Mai with Yao Wen, a dood from Pushmore too.
Mai, playing with his hair on the field.
Lovin the breeze.
So yeah.
So far im doing pretty good here in Adelaide. Beautiful city with loadsa festivals and stuff.
Loadsa baskers and performers on the street doing amazing, funny, silly, stupid, weird things.
Yeah I know, what the heck right?
Some doods on the street randomly playing all sorts of percussions which my friend Ian and I decided to join, bangin the bongos we saw.
Some festivals..
Beautiful city.
So how's everyone doin? Peeps up at Melb? Down at the zabaa ally? Dood with Golden Chin Up bar?
Do update! I really wanna know how yall are doin. Even if it's just a few sentences do blog. It'll bring a smile to all our faces =)

Adelaide!
Great ta hear yall are doin miserably without me back home..
Ahahaa.. Just kiddin man..
My flight was great..
Slept all the way.
Im still homeless.. But it's all good. Bunking at two different places at the mo. Both in city. Gonna check a place in the suburbs later. Probabbly gonna stay with some locals. Hope they like Malaysian fart. Quite on form these days. Must be all that subway with onions. Weather's good.. Always breezy.. I really like Adelaide.
Think I can get used to this lifestyle.
Everyone here's really nice. Random conversations with strangers are pretty common. Still not used to not J walking. It's like even when there are no cars, people are willing to wait for the traffic light to cross the street. And they'll walk to the end of the road at the pedestrian crossing just to get to the other side. No more waving the Tunku Abdul Rahman Merdeka Hand at cars while crossing.
Oh yeah.. And the water here's abit salty i must say. The currents probably pushed the water from Krabi all the way here. Bloody Ji Fai...
Anyways..
I'll just briefly take yall on a photo tour of Adelaide.
Here's Rundle Street, probbably the busiest street in the town. This is where all the shops are. Pretty common to see ppl basking, doing magic tricks, playing with wierd balls and stuff just to get a couple of dollars.
This is Rundle Street at night. So not used to everything closing at 5. It's day light savings now so.. yeah, everything's just a lil faster.
I've met ppl from everywhere.. America, Germany, Switzerland, Canada.. etc etc.. but I've not met any Australians..
Lol.. Wierd eh?
Anyways.. We hit the beach on Tuesday. Was really cool. Can see myself spending most of my time here. Supposed to go surfing the other day. But there wasn't space for me in the car. So.. Oh Well..
Some Americans and Canadians I met..
Was having a good laugh about our cultural differences.
Mike the guy wearing red in front was asking the Canadians how they say Tomato.
Mike: Hey, Caroline... How do Canadians say Tomarrto?
Caroline: Um.. Don't know about the others, but I say Tomayto.
Mike: How about u Justin? How do u guys in Malaysia say it?
Justin: Um.. To be honest, Most people in Malaysia would say TO.......MAH......TOE!
Lol..
And the girl on the left is Katherine.
So we call her Kat.
And she was like.. I need a nickname.. "How do you say Cat in Malaysia?"
And i was like... "Er.. Kuching?"
"Umm.. How about Chinese?"
"I think it's Mao"
Ok.. My Malaysian name is now.. KUCHING MAO! ..Ya know.. Like Kitty Kat?
Lol..
Yeah..
Australia's a cool place with many diverse people and cultures who're really friendly.
I think i just might take Kevin Rudd's offer and stay here for a lil bit.. ;)
That's all for now..
Hopefully I have a place the next time i update yall..
Wish me luck..!
Cheers!
Keeping all in prayer,
Captain Khoo
