Ladies, Gentlemen and zits.
How're yall doin laa...?
Been a while since I updated yall bout my current status.
Finally found a place to stay. It's in North Adelaide, not too far from the city. Nice peaceful suburb which is close to shops and all. And when I say peaceful, I mean.. soo peaceful that even the dead can rest.
Lol. Ok.. Whut im getting at is actually a graveyard that's right behind my house. Like literally RIGHT BEHIND!
Im in the kitchen now, behind my kitchen is the tv room, behind my tv room is the back yard, and behind my back yard is Phil Carson's tomb. Bless his soul.
Yeah, but it's actually really peaceful la. Not like the cemeteries back home where there's chanting and monks walking around. No offence to any walking chanting monks but it's just not the best thing to see at night la k..
I was the first to move in, so i was in the house alone for the first 4 nights. Was cool having the house to myself, could blast the music up, be as messy as i want, walk around naked, yeah stuff like that.
Was a weeedle bit creepy when it came to the night.
Last friday was friday the 13th, I Looked out and there was a full moon. I was estatic! I put on my dancin shoes and waited for Michael Jackson and his troop of zombies to do the thriller with me. But yeah, they didn't show up..
Anywayz, the other housemates moved in already. Currently staying with 2 Australians and a Sarveen.
So, one day I was waiting for the bus in the city and it was taking forever, it was like a good 45mins till I noticed that the girl beside me has been sitting there since I got there.
So we started talking casually, complaining about the bus and stuff. After awhile I asked her, "where ya heading?" She replied "Oh, um.. North Adelaide", you? And I was like, cool, North Adelaide, Medindie Gardens. She smiled and said "Oh, great, im moving there this weekend."
I asked, "Which Road?"
She was like "Chalbury Road.."
I jumped and was like "I live on that street! Whut house are ya at?"
"44..?"
"I was like... Helloee Housie!!"
Such a coincidence..
That's the story of how I met Heather, my housemate from Sydney.
The other fella's an 18 year old footy player. As in AFL, Australian Rules Football. He's Jonathan. We call him Jono.
Good bloke. He plays for like a Div 1 footy team. He plays golf, surfs, plays tennis, he's into dirt bikes, he's gonna design and build surf boards and sell them soon in the backyard.
We're a happy household. Except that the Sarveen's a lil dirty. Messes the kitchen, doesnt wash his stuff, and peees all over the place!!
So yeah, my other housemates call him MIFS. Mister-Indian-Freak-Show!
Lol. But yeah, He's a nice guy... Just a lil dirty.
So like we were watchin Zoolander and so happen, Zoolander is assigned to kill the Malaysian prime minister. And Jono just bursts out laughing and mimes zoolander.. And since then he goes on and on about "KIlling the Malaysian prime minister.." So im like.... Shut up you convict!
So yeah.. I call him convict and he calls me refugee.
One day I came back from class and they were packing stuff. So I asked "where yall heading?"
Jono : Oh im goin surfing with Heather and some other mates
Heather: Wanne come?
Jono: Er.. I don't think there's space in the car for Justin, but we'd go some other time with him for sure.
Heather: Why don't ya just sit in the booth since you refugees are used to small confined places and stuff!
Racist Australians.
Lol.
Nahh it's all good, we just like racist jokes.
Oh yeah.
I got tired of waiting the for the bus and stuff..
So i'd like yall to meeet....
Peggy!
Yeah, she my new ride. She's secondhand. Got her for $800. Been surfing online and monitoring the classifieds for 3 weeks. She comes with a one year warranty, tools, helemet, manual, gloves and oil!
Bought her from a Korean dood who was rushing to go to Sydney. So he gave me a good price.
She's only 50cc and South Australia law allows me to ride using my driver's license.
She's awesome and I love her!
...Oh and pls dont tell my mum.
Cheers!
Oh yeah, Mai, a few friends and I went for the soundwave festival. Awesome line up of bands. Couldn't resist.
He're some pics.
This is Alice, a girl I met on the bus. We lost her in the mosh. Poor girl, hope she's alive.
.. is so awesome live!
Yeah, we caught underoath, one of Ernest's fav bands. Still dont get their music. Moshing was heaps fun tho.
Forever The Sickest Kids - Great punk band which im starting to like. Good Performers.
Jack's Mannequin did a great show too. But was only for like, 40mins.
Yeah. We caught Lamb of God. They were quite scary at night. Lol.
Football's been great. Ah Mai and I joined a team, Uniwhites. They're a social league team from Adelaide Uni.
Good mix of young and old doods. Ya have young vibrant and aggresive players as wells as experianced players from the The Super League(One division below the A league) and various divisions in the team. They find a right balance between serious football and good fun, so at the moment, im pretty happy with the team. Training is on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Saturday is matchday. We're still going through preseason as the league has not started yet. Been playing friendlies and stuff
Been training with them for about 4 weeks now and i've so far found myself in the A team for the past 3 (it's tHree not tree.) friendly matches. So it's all good. Mai's in the B's at the moment but shud be able to get into the A's once he's settled with his assignments and stuff. No sweat.
Would still prefer to get a few B team games under my belt just to boost confidence and get into form. Still abit blur due to not touching a football since my regular calls to Ganesren every friday night.
So far the coach has put me on the right wing and up front. Still not used to the weather and the more physical style of play here. Get banged and pushed around alot. It's also pretty common to the find your lips crackin and yr throat extremely dry on the pitch.
But yeah, here's to a good season with the Whites! Check them out at uniwhites.com
Thats Mai with Yao Wen, a dood from Pushmore too.
Mai, playing with his hair on the field.
Lovin the breeze.
So yeah.
So far im doing pretty good here in Adelaide. Beautiful city with loadsa festivals and stuff.
Loadsa baskers and performers on the street doing amazing, funny, silly, stupid, weird things.
Yeah I know, what the heck right?
Some doods on the street randomly playing all sorts of percussions which my friend Ian and I decided to join, bangin the bongos we saw.
Some festivals..
Beautiful city.
So how's everyone doin? Peeps up at Melb? Down at the zabaa ally? Dood with Golden Chin Up bar?
Do update! I really wanna know how yall are doin. Even if it's just a few sentences do blog. It'll bring a smile to all our faces =)
